I personally like the Ollin Arageeds that were performed in Egypt the best, mostly for the authenticity of the music. I've been lucky enough to visit Gizeh and was awestruck just hanging around the Pyramids and Sphynx. Seeing the Grateful Dead perform at Sun et Lumiere must have been an extraordinary experience, even with the arguably sub-par playing of those shows...

As you pointed out, the Hamza sets during the "From Egypt With Love" shows 10/21-22/78 are also very cool.

THe official release "Rocking the Cradle" came with a really cool DVD of Super 8 footage shot by Richard Loren, "The Vacation Tapes." It's just a casual montage of footage of the various band members visiting the antiquities in Luxor, Karnak and Aswan, including a trip down the Nile in a Felucca. If you would like a copy of this video, shoot me an email and I will burn a disc for you.

As far as Mickey not being discussed here, I don't think it's entirely true. I've posted about his Gongs and other "toys" on a few occassions, and his contribution post-retirement has also been debated here frequently.
